By Kimberly N. Alleyne

Stroudsburg, Pa., Sept. 6 - Credit Suisse Asset Management announced Tuesday that Martha Metcalf has joined the firm as lead portfolio manager of its U.S. high yield business.

Martha joins the company from Invesco where she was managing director and portfolio manager of global high yield bonds, and head of its global high yield business, with responsibility for total return as well as structured portfolios.

"We are very pleased to have someone with Martha's investment experience as head of our U.S. high yield team," said Dennis Schaney, head of global fixed income, in a news release.

"Martha brings to this role over 15 years of investment experience and a successful track record, and we are very pleased to have her on board."

Prior to Invesco, Metcalf spent more than 10 years at JP Morgan Investment Management, where she was vice president and portfolio manager of high yield corporate bonds.

Metcalf has a bachelor's from Mount Holyoke College and is a chartered financial analyst.

Credit Suisse Asset Management is the institutional and mutual fund asset management arm of Credit Suisse First Boston, part of the Credit Suisse Group. It manages $330 billion of assets.
