Pressprich adds Gallaway, Cifuentes and O'Connor to CDO team

New York, Aug. 4 - R.W. Pressprich & Co. Inc. has made three new hires, Patrick Gallaway, Arturo Cifuentes and Gerard O'Connor, to expand its presence in the CDO market, according to a company news release.

Gallaway was named head of the Structured Finance Group that will expand the firm's presence in the secondary CDO market, with extension into primary CDO issuance soon. Most recently Gallaway was head of U.S. agency CDO origination and structuring for Barclays Capital.

Cifuentes was previously head of worldwide operations for CDO Research at Wachovia Securities in New York.

And, O'Connor was recently a member of the Agency CDO Group at Barclays Capital with responsibility for CDO execution.

"I am eager to expand the firm's CDO market activities and better serve our clients needs in this rapidly growing area of the fixed income market, and we are excited by the new synergies these talented individuals will bring to our research and analysis resources," said Edward J. Rappa, president and chief executive officer, in the release.
