Fitch hires Matalon, Joshi for high-yield ratings
New York, Aug. 3 - Fitch ratings said it hired Lisa Matalon and Amol Joshi for its high-yield ratings group.
Matalon will be a senior director and Joshi a director, both reporting to Eric Tutterow, senior director and head of Fitch's high-yield group within its corporates team.
"Lisa and Amol bring with them strong and diverse backgrounds in the capital markets sector, adding greater depth to our growing team dedicated to high yield sector research,' said John Olert, managing director and co-head of Fitch's corporates team, in a news release.
"As part of our commitment to investors, Fitch will continue to provide new ratings and research to serve the high yield sector."
Matalon was previously at Moody's Investors Service where she was a vice president and senior credit officer in the corporate finance group, responsible for leveraged issuers in the automotive supplier industry. Before that she worked for GE Capital's Commercial Finance division and the middle market structured finance division of Chase Manhattan.
Joshi joins Fitch from sister company Fitch Risk, where he was a vice president in the capital management group. Previously he was a vice president in the investment banking group of Banc of America Securities.
