GE Commercial Finance appoints Kinnaman as managing director in technology

By Jennifer Chiou

New York, Aug. 2 - GE Commercial Finance Technology Lending said it named John Kinnaman as managing director for technology.

Formerly senior vice president of GE's Global Media & Communications team, Kinnaman will oversee transactions for companies within the technology sector, including clean energy, communications infrastructure, electronics, hardware, information technology, internet services, semiconductor and software.

"John Kinnaman brings to this position a strategic mindset, demonstrated leadership skills and extensive communications industry experience," said Robert Stefanowski, president of GE Commercial Finance Global Media & Communications, in a news release.

"His expertise will be instrumental in the continued development of our technology lending practice, an extremely important channel that is likely to become even more significant as the lines between telecommunications, media and technology sectors blur and ultimately disappear over the next several years."

GE Commercial Finance, based in Stamford, Conn., offers asset-based financing, cash flow lending and corporate restructuring.
