GSC Partners appoints Doscher and Horan to lead new debt/equity, leveraged/distressed hedge fund

By Sara Rosenberg

New York, July 27 - GSC Partners hired Drew Doscher and Jeffrey Horan as managing directors to lead the firm's newly created hedge fund, which will focus on corporate debt and equity investments in leveraged and distressed markets, according to a news release.

Doscher and Horan were both previously at UBS where they were the co-heads of global distressed securities trading.

"The new initiative will allow us to utilize various trading strategies that will leverage off of our control distressed effort. We also look forward to benefiting from the distressed debt investing and trading experience that Drew and Jeff bring to GSC Partners," said Robert A. Hamwee, managing director of GSC Partners' distressed debt funds, in the release.
