JMP Securities hires David Fullerton as director of private capital markets

Atlanta, June 8 - JMP Securities LLC said Wednesday it has added David Fullerton as a managing director and the director of its private capital markets group.

Fullerton had previously been a managing director in Piper Jaffray's investment banking group where he was responsible for arranging private financings for small- and mid-sized companies.

Andrew Palmer, a spokesman for JMP, said Wednesday that Fullerton wasn't immediately available for interviews.

"Dave Fullerton built the PIPEs and convertible securities businesses at two boutique investment banks and we are confident that he will replicate his past successes at JMP," said JMP president Craig Johnson in a statement.

In other news at JMP, Phillip Whitcomb was named a director in the company's investment banking group.

JMP is a San Francisco-based investment bank.
