By Sara Rosenberg

New York, April 11 - GE Commercial Finance Global Media & Communications appointed Scott Webster as senior vice president, origination, where he will be responsible for originating and structuring debt transactions for companies in the North American communications sector, according to a news release.

Webster will report to Peter J. Foley, managing director and head of origination, Global Media & Communications.

Prior to being named senior vice president of origination, Webster was a senior vice president and risk/underwriting team leader at GE, responsible for a team of 22 underwriters and a portfolio of nearly $2 billion in assets of media and communications companies.

"Scott Webster has long been a valuable asset to Global Media & Communications, and we are confident that he will excel in his new capacity," Foley said in the release. "His significant industry relationships and rich understanding of the cable, wireless, wireline and tower sectors make him a perfect fit for the origination team."
