Jefferies hires Evan Templeton as high-yield senior energy analyst

St. Louis, April 4 - Jefferies & Co. said it hired Evan S. Templeton as a senior vice president and senior research analyst in high yield.

He will follow exploration and production, oil service and refining companies.

Templeton has covered the energy sector for more than 10 years. Prior to Jefferies, he was a director and co-head of high-yield research at Royal Bank of Canada Capital Markets/RBC Dain Rauscher and a senior research analyst covering the energy sector for five years.

Previously, Templeton held similar positions at BancBoston/Fleet Securities and Chemical/Chase Securities.
