Kirkland & Ellis hires Richard Cieri as partner

Houston, Feb. 3 - Kirkland & Ellis LLP announced that Richard M. Cieri has joined the firm as a partner in its New York office.

Cieri will join Kirkland's restructuring, insolvency, workout and bankruptcy practice. He was the former head of the business restructuring and reorganization practice at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP.

He has played a key role in many large Chapter 11 cases and business restructurings.

Prior to joining Gibson Dunn, Cieri worked at Jones, Day, Reavis & Pogue for 18 years. His last position there was as chair of the business restructuring and reorganization practice.
