UBS names Juge, Woo heads of global leveraged finance

By Jennifer Chiou

New York, Dec. 6 - UBS Investment Bank announced it appointed David Juge and Warren Woo as joint heads of global leveraged finance.

Global leveraged finance will be made up of UBS's global syndicated finance and leveraged finance businesses.

The company said Juge will continue to be responsible for the global syndicated finance business while Woo will take the role of global head of the financial sponsors group and leveraged finance origination.

"We have been looking to create seamless coordination between the client and risk areas of our leveraged finance business," Woo said in a news release.

"We believe these changes are a solid step in that direction."

"Financial sponsors and leveraged finance continue to be the fastest growing sectors of the marketplace," added Ken Moelis, president of UBS Investment Bank. "We are confident that these changes will help us maximize our ability to effectively serve our clients through an enhanced integrated firm effort."

UBS also noted Adam Reeder will take over as head of the financial sponsors group and leveraged finance origination for the Americas, Steve Conway as head of the financial sponsors group and leveraged finance origination for the Europe, Middle East and Africa, and Asia Pacific regions, and Brendan Connolly as global head of high-yield syndicate.

UBS, a investment banking and securities firm, has headquarters in Zurich and Basel, Switzerland.
