High-yield mutual funds see $206.3 million inflow for week ending Dec. 23

By Paul A. Harris

St. Louis, Jan. 1 - High-yield mutual funds saw an inflow of $206.334 million for the week ending Dec. 23, according to market sources who cited information reported by AMG Data Services of Arcata, Calif.

The inflow, following the $167.0 million that reportedly came into the funds for the week ending Dec. 17, is the eighth successive positive weekly flow into high yield reported by AMG.

It was also the 13th positive flow out of the last 14, dating back to the week that ended Sept. 24. During that period the market underwent only one outflow - $1.1 million, for the week ending Oct. 29.

To date in 2003, 35 weeks out of 51 weeks have seen positive flows.
