Miller Tabak hires three salespeople, trader, analyst

New York, June 18 - Miller Tabak Roberts Securities, LLC said it hired a further five staff: two salespeople and a trader for its international department, a high-yield salesperson and an analyst.

The new international salespeople are Ignacio Martin-Duarte and Catherine Lewis.

Martin-Duarte was previously a director of high yield sales for ING Barings Securities and before that at Banco Santander. He is named a senior vice president/international sales at MTR.

Catherine Lewis was hired as a first vice president/international sales at MTR and was previously an emerging markets sales executive at Credit Suisse First Boston in New York and London and prior to that with Donaldson Lufkin Jenrette in London.

As first vice president/emerging markets trading, Greg Wagner joined MTR from Seaboard Securities. Previously Wagner was with Standard New York Bank.

For high yield, MTR added Wendy Garfinkel as senior vice president/institutional sales. She was previously with Deutsche Bank and before that Credit Suisse First Boston.

Finally, Eric Reubel joins MTR as first vice president/research where he will focus on semi-conductor, contract manufacturing and network equipment manufacturers. Reubel has been a research analyst for UBS Warburg/Dillon Read and more recently at Gruntal & Co.

"MTR's growth in the sales and trading departments is reflective of the increased number of clients that we serve worldwide," commented Robert Schoenthal, senior managing director and chief executive officer.

MTR also announced it opened a larger research facility.

Schoenthal commented: "As each day goes by, it becomes ever more clear that our clients value our independent research. The new and significantly larger facility for our research department is designed to support our growth plans for continued expansion."
