Deutsche hires Hopkins as senior leveraged finance originator
By Sara Rosenberg
New York, April 24 - Deutsche Bank said it hired Thomas Hopkins as managing director and senior leveraged finance originator. Hopkins will be responsible for originating high-yield bond and loan transactions, the investment bank said in a press release said.
Previously Hopkins was a managing director in technology investment banking at Goldman Sachs & Co. His responsibilities included advising clients on capital markets transactions and mergers and acquisitions. Before Goldman Sachs, Hopkins was employed by Bear Stearns & Co. in both the technology banking and high-yield bond underwriting groups and at Alex. Brown in the high yield and restructuring groups, Deutsche said.
"With 15 years of Wall Street experience, Tom has earned a great deal of respect and has developed an impressive roster of clients," said Tom Cole, Deustche's head of leveraged finance in the Americas, in a news release. "His expertise will be an asset to both our clients and the firm."
