Moody's promotes Rowan to co-head of corporate finance

New York, April 9 - Moody's Investors Service promoted Michael Rowan to group managing director and said he will co-head the rating agency's corporate finance group along with Mara Hilderman, also a group managing director.

Rowan was previously managing director and co-head of the leveraged finance team.

In his new position, Rowan will continue to oversee leveraged finance, including Moody's bank loan ratings, and part of its investment-grade ratings, covering retail and consumer products, and chemicals, healthcare and paper.

Rowan and Hilderman will both report to senior managing director Debra Perry.

Julia Turner will move to New York to co-head Moody's leveraged finance team with Tom Marshella, a managing director. Turner was previously regional managing director in Hong Kong.

Turner and Marshella will report to Rowan.

Moody's also said it named Daniel Gates as named managing director, project finance, Americas. Gates previously managed bank loan ratings. He will report to Hilderman.
