Merrill rehires Mann, to head global leveraged finance origination

New York, March 5 - Merrill Lynch said Jack Mann will rejoin the firm in the middle of this month as global head of leveraged finance origination.

Mann, 41, will oversee all aspects of loan and high yield bond origination at Merrill and will work with the relationship management and corporate finance groups in investment banking, Merrill said.

Mann will report to Bob Lyons, managing director and head of the global issuer client group.

Merrill said Mann jointed the firm in 1986, rising to become head of global high yield capital markets in 1997. He left in 1998 to start the high yield business at the Carlyle Group and two years later was named a partner of that firm.

"Jack is one of the most experienced leveraged finance professionals on Wall Street and we are excited that he is rejoining the firm," said Lyons in a news release. "His leadership and skill will help us expand our goal of providing clients with world class products and services."
