Cantor Fitzgerald appoints Dominic Curtis as managing director

By Tali David

Minneapolis, Jan. 17 - Cantor Fitzgerald Europe appointed Dominic Curtis as managing director in its corporate finance division, the company announced in a press release.

Curtis will focus on building the firm's debt capital market business in Europe, including both loans and bonds, and supporting the continued growth of the investment bank and credit trading teams. He will be based in London and report to Gordon Neilly, head of corporate finance.

"Expanding our investment banking, capital raising and advisory services in Europe is a primary goal for the firm. The appointment of Dominic demonstrates our ability to attract the industry's top banking talent, and our ability to aggressively expand our origination and distribution platforms," chief executive officer Shawn P. Matthews said in the release.

Curtis joins Cantor from AlpInvest Partners, where he was a principal helping build their London office and invest their mezzanine and equity co-investment funds. Earlier, he was director of leveraged finance at Citi, originating and executing high-yield and leveraged finance transactions.

Cantor Fitzgerald is a New York-based financial services firm.
