Guggenheim adds Henkin as senior director, restructuring co-head

By Tali David

Minneapolis, April 2 - Guggenheim Securities announced the appointment of Michael Henkin as senior managing director and co-head of restructuring, according to a press release.

Henkin, who will be based in San Francisco, joins New York-based Ronen A. Bojmel, current head of restructuring, to lead the continued expansion of the firm's restructuring advisory team.

"Michael is a highly respected restructuring advisor who has produced outstanding results in complex and ground-breaking transactions," executive chairman Alan Schwartz said in the release.

"We are delighted that he is joining the firm to help grow our restructuring team and enhance our West Coast coverage with an on-the-ground presence in the San Francisco Bay Area."

Henkin joins Guggenheim after 14 years at Jefferies & Co., Inc., where he most recently served as managing director and co-head of the recapitalization and restructuring group.

Throughout his career, he has advised on over $100 billion in transactions encompassing restructurings, recapitalizations, financings and mergers and acquisitions, the release said.

Guggenheim Securities is a subsidiary of Guggenheim Partners, a privately held financial services firm with headquarters in New York and Chicago.
