Highland Capital Management hires Andrea Lloyd and Scott Baker

San Luis Obispo, Calif., Feb. 4 - Highland Capital Management, LP said in a press release that it has appointed Andrea Lloyd as credit trader and Scott Baker as director.

Lloyd, who has re-joined Highland, is responsible for trading bank loans and high-yield bonds in the primary and secondary markets and is based in Dallas. Lloyd previously was a vice president of investor relations at a hedge fund of funds in Santa Barbara, Calif. She also traded loans and bonds at Highland for more than six years. Prior to her initial employment with Highland, Lloyd was a financial analyst with Accenture.

Baker, also based in the firm's Dallas office, is responsible for identifying new opportunities, assessing risk and conducting due diligence on the firm's investment ideas and developing investment recommendations. Baker previously worked for Bain Capital affiliate Sankaty Advisors as an investment associate. He has also held positions at Mesirow Financial Consulting as a senior associate and at Bank of America Securities as a junior analyst.

Dallas-based Highland is an investment management firm.
