Moody's assigns General Electric notes A1

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned an A1 rating to the 3.8% senior unsecured notes maturing June 2019 issued by co-obligors General Electric Capital Corp. and LJ VP Holding LLC.

The outlook is stable.

The agency said the A1 rating is based on General Electric's creditworthiness as co-obligor of the notes.

According to Moody's, LJ VP Holding's obligations with respect to payments of principal and interest due on the notes is limited to the extent that it has funds available in excess of $100,000 at the time payments are due, while General Electric is obligated on a senior unsecured basis for all note payments when due.
