S&P alters Generac view to positive

S&P said it revised the outlook for Generac Power Systems Inc. to positive from stable and affirmed the BB ratings on the company and its senior secured debt. The 3 recovery rating is unchanged.

“The outlook revision reflects Generac’s good operating performance and improved credit measures, including an S&P Global Ratings-adjusted debt-to-EBITDA leverage ratio of less than 2x. Over the past 12 months, the company has reduced its S&P-adjusted net debt leverage through its strong cash flow generation, which primarily reflects a positive shift in its sales mix toward higher-margin home standby generators,” S&P said in a press release.
