Genco combined plan confirmation, statement approval hearing June 3

Pittsburgh, April 25 - Genco Shipping & Trading Ltd. said the combined hearing on confirmation of its plan of reorganization, the plan solicitation procedures and the adequacy of its disclosure statement is scheduled for June 3, according to an 8-K filed Friday with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The deadline for submitting plan and disclosure objections is May 22.

The claim filing deadline for holders of general unsecured creditors in excess of $50,000 that are either not listed on the Genco debtors' schedules of assets and liabilities, listed as disputed, contingent or unliquidated or listed in amounts that the holders of those claims believe are inaccurate and for holders of claims arising from the rescission of a purchase or sale of a security of the debtors, for damages arising from the purchase or sale or for reimbursement or contribution on account of those claims is 5 p.m. ET on May 22.

Meanwhile, the deadline for filing government unit claims is 5 p.m. ET on Oct. 20.

Genco, a New York-based transporter of iron ore, coal, grain, steel products and other drybulk cargoes, filed bankruptcy on April 21 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York. The Chapter 11 case number is 14-11108.
