Fitch rates Gdansk BBB

Fitch Ratings said it assigned long-term foreign currency and local currency ratings of BBB to the polish city of Gdansk.

The outlook is stable.

Fitch said the ratings reflect the well developed, diversified and buoyant local economy and the city's integrated budgetary planning and high liquidity. The ratings take also into account weakening budgetary performance, a need for operating costs rationalization in some sectors and expected increase in debt.
