Gateway Telecommunications calls 9 7/8% notes

Tacoma, Wash., Dec. 31 - Gateway Telecommunications plc said it will redeem its $132.5 million 9 7/8% senior secured notes due 2013 on Jan. 30.

The company will pay par plus a redemption premium and accrued interest for a total of $161.67 million, according to a company news release.

Gateway is a telecommunications firm with headquarters in London and in Johannesburg, South Africa.
