Moody's rates Gas Authority India Baa2

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned a Baa2 foreign-currency rating to Gas Authority India Ltd. and affirmed its A3 local-currency issuer rating.

The outlook is stable.

As a government-related issuer, the ratings reflect the high support from the Indian government, the agency said.

Its standalone credit strength reflects its dominant position in India's gas transmission sector, Moody's said, as well as the robust state of industry fundamentals.
