By Paul A. Harris

Portland, Ore., Sept. 14 – Gartner, Inc. plans to price an $800 million offering of 10-year senior notes (existing ratings Ba3/BB) in a Monday drive-by, according to market sources.

Initial price talk has the deal coming to yield 4% to 4 1/8%, a trader said.

J.P. Morgan Securities LLC is leading the Rule 144A and Regulation S deal.

The notes come with five years of call protection.

The Stamford, Conn.-based technology research and advisory services provider plans to use the proceeds to pay off its 5 1/8% senior notes due 2025.
