Garlock Sealing: bankruptcy administrator eyes committee changes

By Lisa Kerner

Charlotte, N.C., Oct. 22 - Garlock Sealing Technologies, LLC's official creditors committee should be reconstituted, according to a motion filed by the bankruptcy administrator for the western district of North Carolina on Friday.

Dexter Foundry Inc. is the only eligible creditor remaining on the appointed committee, the filing said.

The administrator's office received two acceptances to its Sept. 13 amended notice to creditors holding the 20 largest unsecured claims.

According to the motion, ineligible committee members should be removed and the two respondents accepting the appointment should be allowed to serve.

As previously reported, in June the court appointed Garlock's official committee of unsecured creditors to include Renee Stonitsch of Ryerson Inc., based in Lancaster, N.Y.; Darla Lacey of Jackson Welding Supply, based in Rochester, N.Y.; Gus Miller of Dexter Foundry Inc., based in Fairfield, Iowa; and Joel Rafaniello of Associated Spring a Business of Barnes Group, based in Farmington, Conn.

Garlock is a subsidiary of Charlotte, N.C.-based EnPro Industries, Inc., which makes sealing products, bearings, compressors and engines. Garlock filed for bankruptcy on June 5, and its Chapter 11 case number is 10-31607.
