Galaxy Energy's bankruptcy case converted to Chapter 7

Pittsburgh, Jan. 7 - Galaxy Energy Corp.'s Chapter 11 bankruptcy case has been converted to Chapter 7, according to a Tuesday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Colorado.

As previously reported, the company requested the case conversion on Dec. 31.

Galaxy, a Denver-based independent oil and gas company, filed for bankruptcy on March 14, 2008. Its Chapter 11 case number is 08-13164.
