Gadzooks hires Monty Standifer as CFO

Washington, Dec. 21 - Gadzooks Inc. hired Monty Standifer to be its chief financial officer, the company said.
Standifer is a veteran, having served as Gadzooks' CFO from 1992 to 1999. In addition, he has held financial positions with RadioShack and BizMart Office Products.
He was most recently CFO of Buffet Partners, operators of the Furr's Restaurants chain throughout the Southwest.
The previous CFO, Jim Motley, left the Dallas-based apparel retailer on Sept. 10.
Gadzooks filed for bankruptcy on Feb. 3, 2004 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Texas. Its Chapter 11 case number is 04-31486.
