Moody's: Allison Transmission view to stable

Moody's Investors Service said it affirmed the corporate family and probability of default ratings of Allison Transmission, Inc. at B3, along with its senior secured bank credit facility at B2 and the ratings of the senior unsecured notes at Caa2.

The outlook was changed to stable from negative.

The stable outlook incorporates the expectation of continuing improvement in Allison's credit metrics over the intermediate term, Moody's said.

This improvement is expected to be supported by stabilizing commercial vehicle build rates off of industry lows in 2009 and the ongoing benefits of restructuring actions taken by the company in 2009, the agency said.
