Alliqua takes in $265,000 through private placement of common shares

Deal includes warrants for 2.65 million shares, exercisable at $0.05

Knoxville, Tenn., Aug. 16 - Alliqua, Inc. completed a $265,000 private placement of stock on Aug. 14, according to an 8-K filed Thursday with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The company sold 5.3 million common shares at $0.05 per share. The price per share reflects a 25% premium to the Aug. 13 closing share price of $0.04.

Investors also received warrants for 2.65 million shares, which are each exercisable at $0.05 for five years. The strike price is also 25% premium to the Aug. 13 price.

The biomedical products company is based in New York.
