S&P: Alliance Imaging unchanged

Standard & Poor's said its ratings on Alliance Imaging Inc. (B+/stable) are unaffected by the company's two recently announced acquisitions.

According to the agency, Alliance plans to acquire New England Health Enterprises Business Trust for $48 million in cash and assumed liabilities, as well as eight radiation therapy centers from a subsidiary of Sonix Inc. for $36 million in cash and assumed debt.

Although consolidated debt is expected to increase modestly, EBITDA will benefit and the acquisition will strengthen the company's presence in imaging in the Northeast and expand its footprint in radiation oncology services, the agency added.
