Finnair calls remaining €38.3 million of hybrid bonds issued in 2012

Columbus, Ohio, Oct. 13 – Finnair plc called the remaining €38.3 million of its outstanding hybrid bonds issued in November 2012 for redemption on Nov. 26, according to a company announcement.

The company repurchased €81.7 million of the bonds under a tender offer that expired on Oct. 7, as previously reported.

The company paid €106,750 for each €100,000 of principal amount of notes plus accrued interest for those bonds. The redemption of the remaining bonds will be “in accordance with the terms and conditions of the hybrid bond,” according to the announcement.

Following the redemption, the company’s €200 million of hybrid bonds issued Oct. 13, 2015 will remain outstanding. The bonds have no maturity date but are callable after five years.

Finnair is a Helsinki, Finland-based airline.
