Noonday buys more shares of Alliance Data Systems

Charlotte, N.C., Dec. 10 - Alliance Data Systems Corp. investors led by Noonday Asset Management, LP increased their stake in the company to 9.9% from 7.9% with a series of stock purchases between Nov. 16 and Dec. 7.

The 996,700 shares were purchased for between $76.54 and $78.63 each, according to a schedule 13D filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The investors beneficially own a total of 7,795,000 shares of the company's stock.

On Oct. 15, Noonday reported a 5.3% stake in the Dallas-based marketing, loyalty and transaction services company.

It was previously reported that Alliance Data Systems agreed to be acquired by Aladdin Holdco, Inc., a Blackstone Capital affiliate, for $81.75 cash per share in a transaction valued at $7.8 billion, including debt. Stockholders approved the deal on Aug. 8.
