Fitch: Assured Guaranty, Financial Security unaffected

Fitch Ratings said it has reviewed the general terms of Assured Guaranty Ltd.'s proposed acquisition of the financial guaranty business of Financial Security Assurance Holdings Ltd. and does not expect the transaction, as presented, to have a negative impact on the current ratings of either group of companies.

Assured Guaranty's A+ senior notes and A junior subordinated debentures have a stable outlook, and Financial Security's AA senior notes and AA- junior subordinated debentures are currently on Rating Watch negative.
