PL Capital questions Alliance Bancorp's performance

Charlotte, N.C., Oct. 18 - Alliance Bancorp, Inc. of Pennsylvania investor the PL Capital Group, with an 8.4% stake in the company, met with Alliance chief executive officer Dennis Cirucci and chief financial officer Peter Meier to discuss improving financial performance and enhancing shareholder value.
The investor representatives cited Alliance Bancorp's "dismal financial performance," according to a schedule 13D filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Alliance Bancorp is a Broomall, Pa., community bank.
