S&P rates Fidelity National notes BBB
S&P said it assigned a BBB rating to Fidelity National Information Services Inc.'s announced senior unsecured notes offering.
The proceeds will be used to repay existing debt balances.
The company’s BBB corporate credit rating is unchanged.
The ratings reflect the company's good competitive position and significant base of recurring revenues, the agency said.
The SunGard acquisition resulted in greater scale and product diversification, which further strengthen the company's business risk profile, S&P said.
Nevertheless, the sizable debt-funded transaction resulted in temporarily weaker credit measures with pro forma adjusted leverage in the high 3x range as of June 30, the agency said.
