Allete files mortgage bonds, stock automatic shelf registration

Knoxville, Tenn., Dec. 10 - Allete, Inc. filed a common stock and first mortgage bonds automatic shelf registration in an S-3-ASR filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Allete will add the net proceeds from the sale of the securities to its general funds.

Allete is an energy utility and real estate company based in Duluth, Minn.
