Moody’s gives A3 to Mexim notes

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned an A3 long-term foreign currency senior unsecured debt rating to Export-Import Bank of Malaysia Bhd.'s (Mexim) planned dollar-denominated senior notes, to be issued under the bank's $3 billion multicurrency medium-term note program.

The size, coupon rate and maturity date of the proposed notes are yet to be determined by the issuer.

The outlook is stable, in line with the stable outlook on Mexim's A3 issuer rating and Malaysia's A3 sovereign rating.

The A3 rating is in line with Mexim's A3 issuer rating. The notes will constitute an unconditional, unsubordinated and unsecured obligation of Mexim, and rank pari-passu with its other senior unsecured obligations.
