Moody's assigns Kexim notes A2

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned an A2 rating to the Export-Import Bank of Korea's proposed benchmark-size dollar-denominated senior fixed-rate notes under the U.S. SEC registered shelf program. The maturity of the notes is not finalized yet. The rating is subject to receipt of final documents.

The outlook is stable.

The rating reflects the bank's role as a government-related issuer, Moody's said.

The rating also incorporates the high probability that it will maintain this strategic importance, given the importance of the export sector to the Korean economy, the agency said.
