Corvus Energy gets C$6.5 million cleantech financing from EDC

By Marisa Wong

Morgantown, W.Va., June 22 – Corvus Energy Inc. obtained a C$6.5 million contract financing credit facility from Export Development Canada, according to an EDC press release.

The EDC financing will allow the cleantech company to fulfill various export contracts, primarily for hybrid ferries in Europe.

Richmond, B.C.-based Corvus designs, develops and manufactures energy storage systems (ESS) and lithium-ion battery solutions for hybrid and electric marine applications to help reduce fuel consumption and emissions.

EDC said one of its priorities is to support the growth of Canadian cleantech companies internationally.
