Exide operating loss grows to $1.05 million in November; sales decline

Pittsburgh, Dec. 20 - Exide Technologies Inc. posted an operating loss of $1.05 million for November on net sales of $86.09 million, according to its monthly operating report filed Friday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

Those figures showed a decline from the $201,000 operating loss reported for October on net sales of $97.12 million.

The net loss for November was $16.73 million, widening from a $12.12 million net loss for October.

The company also reported cash and cash equivalents of $10.68 million as of Nov. 30, up from $9.51 million at the end of October.

Exide Technologies, a Milton, Ga.-based maker and recycler of lead-acid batteries, filed for bankruptcy on June 10, 2013. Its Chapter 11 case number is 13-11482.
