Fitch pulls Exelon Generation from watch

Fitch Ratings said it affirmed Exelon Generation Co. LLC’s ratings, including the BBB rating on its 6.25% senior unsecured notes due 2039, removed them from rating watch negative and withdrew its ratings. The outlook is stable.

“Fitch placed ExGen's ratings on RWN on Feb. 24, 2021, following Exelon Corp.’s (EXC; BBB+/RWN) announced plans to spin off ExGen to its shareholders. The rating affirmation reflects the ExGen's stronger than originally anticipated post-spin balance sheet as well as the expectation for increased cash flow generation post Illinois' Clean Energy Law,” the agency said in a press release.

The agency cited commercial reasons for the withdrawal.
