GS Finance plans leveraged buffered notes due 2021 linked to Stoxx 50

Chicago, Nov. 27 – GS Finance Corp. plans to price 0% leveraged buffered notes due July 8, 2021 linked to the Euro Stoxx 50 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The payout at maturity will be par plus 3.3 times any index gain, up to a maximum settlement amount of $1,700 for each $1,000 principal amount.

Investors will receive par if the index falls by up to 10%. If the index declines more than 10% investors will and will lose 1% for each 1% decline beyond 10%.

The notes are guaranteed by Goldman Sachs Group, Inc.

Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC is the underwriter.

The notes will price on Jan. 2, 2019.

The Cusip number is 40056EHF8.
