New Issue: HSBC sells $447,000 digital dual directional barrier notes on index, fund

Columbus, Ohio, Aug. 15 – HSBC USA Inc. priced $447,000 of 0% digital dual directional barrier securities due Aug. 3, 2021 linked to the Euro Stoxx 50 index and the iShares MSCI EAFE ETF, according to a 424B2 filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

If each asset finishes at or above its initial level, the payout at maturity will be par plus 2 times the return of the lesser performing asset.

If either asset falls by up to 25%, the payout will be par plus the absolute value of the return of the lesser performing asset.

Otherwise, investors will lose 1% for each 1% decline of the worse performing asset.
