Morgan Stanley to price buffered PLUS linked to indexes, EM ETF

Tacoma, Wash., Nov. 20 – Morgan Stanley Finance LLC plans to price 0% buffered Performance Leveraged Upside Securities due Nov. 27, 2019 linked to a basket consisting of the S&P 500 index with a 50% weight, the Euro Stoxx 50 index with a 30% weight and the iShares MSCI Emerging Markets exchange-traded fund with a 20% weight, according to an FWP filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes will be guaranteed by Morgan Stanley.

If the final basket level is greater than the initial basket level, the payout at maturity will be par plus 200% of the basket return, subject to a maximum return that is expected to be at least 21.75% and will be set at pricing.

If the final basket level is less than or equal to the initial basket level but has decreased from the initial basket level by no more than 10%, the payout will be par.

Otherwise, investors will lose 1% for every 1% that the basket declines beyond 10%.

The notes will price Nov. 22.

The Cusip number is 61768CUT2.
