HSBC plans to price two-year buffered AMPS linked to Euro Stoxx 50

Morgantown, W.Va., Jan. 14 – HSBC USA Inc. plans to price 0% buffered Accelerated Market Participation Securities due Jan. 29, 2018 linked to the Euro Stoxx 50 index, according to an FWP filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The payout at maturity will be par plus double any index gain, subject to a maximum return that is expected to be at least 26% and will be set at pricing. Investors will receive par if the index declines by 10% or less and will lose 1% for every 1% that it declines beyond 10%.

HSBC Securities (USA) Inc. is the agent.

The notes will price on Jan. 26 and settle on Jan. 29.

The Cusip number is 40433UFZ4.
