HSBC USA plans buffered uncapped securities linked to index basket

Columbus, Ohio, Nov. 2 – HSBC USA Inc. plans to price 0% buffered uncapped market participation securities due Nov. 30, 2020 linked to a basket of three equity indexes, according to an FWP filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The underlying components are the Russell 2000 index, the S&P 500 index and the Euro Stoxx 50 index, all equally weighted.

The payout at maturity will be par plus at least 100% of any basket gain.

If the basket declines by up to 20%, the payout will be par. Investors will lose 1% for every 1% decline beyond 20%.

HSBC Securities (USA) Inc. is the agent.

The notes will price on Nov. 24 and settle on Nov. 30.

The Cusip number is 40433UDB9.
