Barclays plans buffered return enhanced notes linked to Euro Stoxx 50

Knoxville, Tenn., Oct. 30 – Barclays Bank plc plans to price 0% buffered return enhanced notes due March 3, 2017 linked to the Euro Stoxx 50 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The payout at maturity will be par plus 1.5 times any gain in the index, up to a maximum return of 15.45%.

Investors will receive par if the index falls by up to 10% and will lose 1.1111% for every 1% decline beyond 10%.

Barclays Capital Inc. is the underwriter, and JPMorgan is the dealer.

The notes (Cusip: 06741UR89) will price Oct. 30 and settle Nov. 4.
