HSBC plans buffered uncapped market notes tied to index basket

Madison, Wis., March 3 – HSBC USA Inc. plans to price 0% buffered uncapped market participation securities due March 27, 2020 linked to equal weights of the S&P 500 index, the Euro Stoxx 50 index and the Hang Seng China Enterprises index, according to an FWP with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The payout at maturity will be par plus 1.2 times any basket gain.

Investors will receive par if the basket falls by up to 15% and will lose 1% for every 1% decline beyond 15%.

HSBC Securities (USA) Inc. is the agent.

The notes will price on March 24 and settle on March 27.

The Cusip number is 40433BB98.
