New Issue: Barclays prices $9.73 million notes linked to Euro Stoxx 50

Madison, Wis., Sept. 25 - Barclays Bank plc priced $9.73 million of 0% notes due March 26, 2014 linked to the Euro Stoxx 50 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
If the index's closing level is greater than or equal to the barrier level, 70% of the initial index level, on each day during the life of the notes, the payout at maturity will be par plus the greater of the index return and 7.25%. Otherwise, the payout will be par plus the index return, which could be positive or negative.
Barclays is the underwriter with JPMorgan Chase Bank, NA and J.P. Morgan Securities LLC as placement agents.
